Why we exist

Shakers are bought on colour and judged on containment. Most suppliers sell the first and hope nobody tests the second.

Every complaint in this category traces back to one of three decisions — the seal, the cleanability, or the mixer — and all three are made months before anyone opens a box.

The seal is the product

A thread that engages fully rather than cross-threading on a rushed morning. A gasket seated in the lid, not perched on the rim. A flip cap that locks positively shut.

Then it gets filled, closed and inverted. ‘Leakproof’ is a word; a tested lid is a fact.

It gets left in a car

The second failure is smell, and it is a cleanability problem before it is a material problem: narrow mouths and tucked shoulders are where residue hides.

Wide mouths, no hidden geometry, BPA-free copolyester that stays clear instead of hazing, top-rack dishwasher safe — and the honest line that no plastic survives whey left in a hot car for three days.

Three mixers, three trade-offs

A stainless wire ball mixes thick powders best and rattles when carried empty. A moulded agitator is silent, captive and unloseable. Mesh sits between them.

We tell you which suits your powder. If that means selling the cheaper build, it means selling the cheaper build.

Steel, when odour is the real problem

Stainless has no porosity for residue to key into, so it cleans back to neutral in a way plastic does not — which is why steel shakers get owned for years rather than months.

We engrave rather than print them, because an engraved mark cannot peel at the contact points where a bottle meets a bench.

A shaker is not a blender

It disperses powder into liquid. It will not emulsify oils, crush ice or turn frozen fruit into a smoothie.

Saying so up front is why the reviews stay good.

Programmes keep their colour

The colourway, cap, mechanism and print method live on file, so a reorder of forty two seasons later matches the founding batch.

A set that no longer matches is worse than no set, because everybody in the room can see it.

What we will talk you out of

A plated mixer ball. A narrow mouth in any programme where people wash by hand. A rigid print process on a wall that flexes. A three-tier stack that will not fit your bag. And the word leakproof.
